Starting today, go explore! LIfe is too short not to see what's out there.

Being on the path looks like the walk from your kitchen to your mailbox, or the “I could do this with my eyes closed” drive to work.

Your daily run-around that popped right out of a cookie cutter is getting in the way of your life.

This blog will share a new travel spot each week. The purpose is to excite you about our awesome world, and hopefully tempt you to go explore it! I invite you to share stories of your own travels, and let me know if you check out any of my adventure spots!

Squeaky Sand and Sunshine

Spring is officially here. It's time to pull out your flip-flops and show off your ankle tan-lines. This week, check out Gulf Shores, Alabama.

What’s in Alabama? The same beautiful soft sand beaches that you would find in nearby Florida, but with a more laid-back crowd, better fried chicken, and a tiny price tag.  This trip will is about unwinding on the beach while enjoying your own beach house, and the local seafood.

Imagine waking up to the sound of the waves and walking out your back door to enjoy your morning coffee on the beach. The town is very clean.  The water is enticing once the afternoon sun reaches its peak, and the white sandy beaches are speckled with seashells.  Forgo your shoes and enjoy the squeaky sand that will unavoidably be traveling back in your suitcase with you.

I would suggest going with a group of friends or family and renting a beach house.  Four days is the perfect amount of time to relax in Gulf Shores, rentals are available for almost any length of time, and are less expensive than most beach towns. Check out rentals, Beach Houses in Gulf Shores.

The town is casual, your suitcase checklist would be complete with a bikini and a bottle of sunscreen.  Early risers can be seen jogging the beach or the main street before the sun moves in for the day.

For those seeking a little more adventure, check out Fishing in Gulf Shores, and Golf in the Gulf to set up a golf outing.

The nightlife is tame, but the social butterflies will be fluttering around these popular nightspots.  If you would like to explore after dark check out  Nighlife and Music.

  1. Ah, this sounds so nice right now! Did you go there for Spring Break? I hear so much about the Gulf Shores, maybe I'll have to check it out one day! I love how you create visuals. Good job! I wonder what spot you'll choose next!
